An idiom is an expression that has a figurative or sometimes literal meaning. Thus, an idiom is an Expression whose real meaning is not predictable from the usual meanings of its constituent elements, such as "kick the bucket" that has an odd literal meaning if considering the meaning of every word. However, the real meaning is " to die". Therefore, someone who is unfamiliar with English language probably finds it difficult to guess the real meaning or may not understand what is meant at all. Idioms are categorized as formulaic language. That is, a linguistic term for verbal expressions that are fixed in form, such as idioms, collocations and proverbs.

1- Idiom 1: " to have or get goose pimples or goose bumps or goose flesh":
This idiom refers to the state when someone's body hair stands as a result of being cold, scary or excited.
For example: I was watching a scary movie last night, it gave me goose pimples all the night long.

2- Idiom 2:" to be the last straw that broke the Camel's back":
The meaning of this idiom is "to be the last in a series of bad things or the last small additional burden that makes one's difficulties unbearable anymore".
For example: I was already fed up of my friend's humiliation, and his last joke on me in public was "the last straw that broke the Camel's back".

3- Idiom 3:" to be up-to-date":
This idiom means " to be current or aware of the most recent news,trends, products or fashion.
For example: Successful businessmen are always up-to-date about economy stuffs.

4- Idiom 4 :" to give someone the cold shoulder":
This idiom simply means "to ignore or give no interest to someone".
For example: I thought we were friends, but the last time I saw him he gave me the Cold shoulder.

5- Idiom 5:" to be in someone's shoes":
This means" to be in the same situation as someone else".
For example: I wouldn't be in your shoes when dad knows what you've done.
